Hi, I’m Christina (she/her) and I’m a licensed psychoanalyst. You can read here a little bit about me, and if you’d like to get a better sense and learn more, reach out for a consultation.
Before I was a psychoanalyst I was a sociologist. This has proved to be a great asset to the work we can do together. I know very well that you exist in a social world and you are an individual. I can help you with how to sort out what you can and cannot change, and what is inside of you, what’s out there, and what’s overlapping and intersecting.
I do not provide other kinds of therapy besides psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic psychotherapy. I do this one modality (psychoanalysis), and I do it well. Body work and other modalities of care can be great, and can sometimes be used in conjunction with the work we do together, if you’d like. Though I practice one modality, it is not the same with every person. You and I will form our unique relationship and your treatment will be based on who you are.
In case you are interested in where I went school: I did my graduate work at CUNY and am currently a psychoanalytic candidate at the Contemporary Freudian Society, working towards meeting international standards of psychoanalysis, having already graduated from the NYS License Qualifying program. I am also an infant specialist; I completed the three year Anni Bergman Parent-Infant Program, meaning I am also a therapist to babies and their parents and I have an understanding of how all of our lives and our minds really started from our first moments.
